	Wood Box (Previous | Next)   This wood box is copied from one found at the Pleasant Hill Shaker Community in Kentucky. The bin is sufficient to holds a long cold evening's supply of wood. The till at the top holds matches, gloves etc. The shape suggests a relationship with a settle bench (next page) where the till is removed and a lid is added to the bin to make a seat. This provides a comfortable place to sit on the porch or mudroom and convenient storage place for boots. A second relationship could be made to a settle table where the tall back is separate and removable.
