	Six Board Blanket Chest with One Drawer (Previous | Next)   Boards wide enough to make a single side for a chest such as this don't grow on trees any more so we must use glued-up boards. Among the earliest American domestic furniture these appeared with as many as four drawers. They mark a transition between lidded blanket boxes and clothes presses and the case of drawers we are familiar with today.
